The Nutella long John style donut was divine. The sausage roll was excellent and the pies were good too!

It's getting hard to find a good lamington! So it's ten months since we repatriated to Australia and it took me until today to find a great lamington! Wild About Wild Bakery

Perth's Best Bakery I've wanted to check out Wild Bakery since long before relocating to Perth in January 2023. Today it finally reached the top of my to-do list. The entire store is awe inspiring! Lots of food in the counters even by mid morning on the weekend when many of the small boutique places around town are running out of options in their counters. The vast array of bread was too good to resist! Perfectly cooked, visually appealing and delicious! The pastries and desserts were fabulous too! Super busy on the weekend mornings so don't expect to get a table. But grab some takeaway and head to the beach or Booyeembara Park for a picnic.

Grain Bakery Lathlain

Today we popped in to Grain Bakery in Lathlain and grabbed a couple of snacks, then we walked across the road and picnicked in Rayment Park. The passionfruit tart and caramel donut were good but not the best we've had in Perth. It's a great option if you live around there or are there for some other reason and want a bakery option for a cuppa and cake, but I wouldn't go out of your way for this place. That being said it really is a great little bakery! Just not amazing enough to make it into our MUST RETURN list. Why? The donuts were a little chewy rather than fluffy. The sausage roll was good but not great. The passionfruit tart was good but lots of places do great passionfruit tarts.
