Today we popped in to Grain Bakery in Lathlain and grabbed a couple of snacks, then we walked across the road and picnicked in Rayment Park.
The passionfruit tart and caramel donut were good but not the best we've had in Perth. It's a great option if you live around there or are there for some other reason and want a bakery option for a cuppa and cake, but I wouldn't go out of your way for this place.
That being said it really is a great little bakery! Just not amazing enough to make it into our MUST RETURN list.
Why?
The donuts were a little chewy rather than fluffy. The sausage roll was good but not great. The passionfruit tart was good but lots of places do great passionfruit tarts.
